COLLECTIVE HIVE FUNDING

Build the first ApeTerra apiary. One pixel at a time.

The first ApeTerra apiary will come to life one step at a time: there is no need to wait until the full €50,000 goal is reached. As soon as the first €2,000 is raised, the first professional ApeTerra Bear hive arrives; from then on, every new contribution automatically funds the next step. Together we will create one artistic and technological hive, five painted productive hives and a pollinator garden rich in plants and flowers: a living, beautiful and productive place designed for bees, people and biodiversity.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Every contribution builds something real.

How progressive construction works, who cares for the bees, when rewards arrive and when a refund applies.

What does supporting an ApeTerra apiary mean?

It means contributing to a real apiary made up of one artistic and technological hive, five painted productive hives and a pollinator garden. The contribution funds the components shown on this page and includes the rewards in the selected package.

    When is the contribution charged?

The payment is charged immediately and securely through Stripe. The selected total is always shown before confirmation.

    How is my contribution used?

Allocation is automatic. Funds complete the currently open component first and then move to the next one, following the public order shown in the components section.

Can I choose which component to fund?

No. The order is predetermined: first the artistic and technological hive is completed, then the five productive hives are added, followed by the pollinator garden and site landscaping.

    What is the first goal?

The first goal is €2,000 to fund the professional internal hive, the real core where the colony will live.

What happens when €2,000 is reached?

The professional hive is funded and can be prepared for placement and management by the beekeeper, subject to season, location and bee welfare.

What happens when €25,000 is reached?

The artistic and technological hive is completed: structure, solar power, wiring, camera, sensors, telemetry, Bee Sound, treatment, assembly and installation.

What happens when €45,000 is reached?

Five painted productive hives are also funded, bringing the project to six professionally managed colonies.

What happens when €50,000 is reached?

The first ApeTerra apiary is completed with a pollinator garden, nectar-rich plants, flowers, irrigation, a bee water station and site landscaping.

Will I receive a refund if the project does not start?

Yes. If the first €2,000 goal is not reached within 12 months of the official campaign launch date, ApeTerra initiates a full refund of the contributions received for that campaign.

    How is the refund issued?

The refund is initiated to the original payment method. The time required for it to appear depends on the bank or card network.

What happens if €2,000 is reached but €50,000 is not?

The professional hive can be prepared subject to the season and bee welfare. Funding then continues progressively: €25,000 completes the artistic hive, €45,000 adds the five productive hives and €50,000 completes the pollinator garden and site.

Is the contribution a financial investment?

No. The contribution does not provide company shares, interest, dividends or profits. It supports the project and includes the rewards listed in the selected package.

Do I become the owner of the hive or bees?

No. The hives, colonies, garden and equipment remain under the responsibility of ApeTerra and its appointed partners. The supporter receives the recognition and rewards included in the selected package.

Who takes care of the bees?

The six colonies are managed by a professional beekeeper or appointed beekeeping company. Inspections, treatments and operational decisions are made with bee welfare as the priority.

Where will the hive be placed?

The page identifies the municipality or project area. The exact location may remain private to protect the bees, land and equipment.

Can the location or beekeeper change?

Yes, when required for environmental, health, authorisation, operational or safety reasons. ApeTerra will use an equivalent solution and publish an update in the timeline.

What happens if the colony weakens, swarms or dies?

Bees are living organisms. The beekeeper may treat, combine, replace or relocate the colony according to professional practice and environmental conditions.

When will I receive the rewards?

Digital rewards are activated according to the package. Honey, physical products, visits and inaugurations follow the beekeeping season, completion of the relevant milestones and updates sent to supporters.

Where does the honey included in rewards come from?

The honey comes exclusively from the ApeTerra hives in the supported apiary. No honey from external producers is purchased or used. Because yields are natural and may vary, delivery follows the harvest and may be divided into more than one shipment.

How do Bee Sound and live data work?

Once the relevant components are installed, the project may provide hive sounds and data. Power, connectivity, maintenance and site conditions can cause temporary interruptions.

    Will my name be public?

Only according to the choice made during the contribution. You may appear with your full name, with the surname hidden, or according to the options available in the form.

Can I contribute more than once or support multiple hives?

Yes. Each confirmed payment generates the corresponding pixels and rewards and may support the same apiary or a different campaign.
