Adopt a hive
Design around a real hive

Recognisable animal forms around a professional hive.

The internal hive remains standard and is selected by the beekeeper. The artistic animal form is a ventilated, removable and serviceable external shell.

The correct technical principle

The shell must never obstruct the hive.

Bear, owl or fox forms are designed around the beekeeper's professional equipment. The shell stays self-supporting, openable and compatible with inspection, treatment and maintenance.

Orso 2.1 principles

Four details make an artistic hive credible.

The structure is a durable cover and storytelling object, not an experimental replacement for professional equipment.

01

Removable shell

The decorative structure stands independently and does not load or trap the internal hive.

02

Service access

Opening rear and removable upper sections allow inspection, treatment and maintenance.

03

Protected ventilation

High, side and lower ventilation uses protected openings and fine stainless mesh.

04

Raised durable base

The structure is isolated from soil, standing water, rodents and avoidable moisture.

Prototype process

Design with the beekeeper from the beginning.

A prototype advances only when technical access and hive welfare remain clear.

01

Choose the internal hive

Use the Dadant, Langstroth or other system already operated by the partner beekeeper.

02

Design the external shell

Develop the animal form around service clearances, structure, weather protection and materials.

03

Test access and ventilation

Confirm entrance alignment, airflow, maintenance, lifting and safe daily use.

04

Sponsor and install

Connect the approved prototype to a real pilot, partner and transparent campaign.
