Adopt a hive

Terms and Conditions

Specific ApeTerra crowdfunding conditions

Effective from 21 July 2026.

These conditions apply to contributions made through the ApeTerra crowdfunding and hive-adoption pages and form an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

Campaign promoter and nature

The campaign is promoted and managed by Mars 1982 Ltd. It is a reward-based crowdfunding campaign intended to progressively finance the creation of the first ApeTerra artistic, technological, productive and social apiary and its related environmental and educational activities.

A contribution is not an investment, loan, company share, security or financial instrument. It does not provide any entitlement to interest, profits, dividends, financial returns, ownership of Mars 1982 Ltd or participation in the management of ApeTerra.

Campaign objective

The campaign objective is €50,000, represented by 2,000 virtual pixels with a reference value of €25 per pixel. The first project includes the artistic and technological Bear Hive, five additional productive hives, a pollinator garden and the related equipment, technology, professional services and implementation activities.

Immediate payment and progressive funding

The selected contribution is charged immediately after completion of the payment process. Funds may be used progressively for design, production, technology, suppliers, professional services, communication, administration, payment fees, installation and the other components necessary to develop the project.

The campaign uses a progressive funding model. Failure to reach the complete €50,000 objective does not automatically result in a refund of contributions already paid. Funds collected may be used to implement the project progressively, in phases or in a reduced form according to the resources actually available.

Virtual pixels, certificates and rewards

Virtual pixels, supporter or founder titles, certificates, public names and hive references are symbolic benefits or campaign rewards. They do not represent ownership of a physical hive, land, property, company equity, NFT, security or financial asset.

The benefits applicable to each contribution are those displayed in the selected package at the time of payment. Digital certificates and public supporter names may be personalised using the information supplied by the supporter.

Timescales and project changes

Implementation and delivery dates are estimates. The project may depend on a suitable location, permissions, professional beekeepers, suppliers, technical and safety requirements, weather conditions and local partners.

ApeTerra may reasonably adapt the order, timing, design or technical details of individual components while preserving the essential environmental, educational and social purpose of the campaign. Material changes will be communicated through the website or campaign updates.

Refunds and mandatory consumer rights

No automatic refund is due solely because the complete campaign objective is not reached or because implementation requires more time than initially estimated.

Nothing in these conditions limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Requests concerning withdrawal, duplicate payments, payment errors or other legally protected refund rights must be sent to info@apeterra.com.

Payments and acceptance

Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Each contribution is a single payment and does not create a recurring subscription.

By selecting the mandatory checkbox and continuing, the supporter authorises the immediate charge of the selected contribution and confirms acceptance of these specific crowdfunding conditions together with the general ApeTerra Terms and Conditions.
