ApeTerra presents

ApeTerra
On The Road

A journey through Italy that protects the future of bees.

Three motorhomes will travel through villages, countryside and communities to meet beekeepers, researchers, artists, young people, schools and extraordinary people.

The journey begins here

The manifesto

It is more than a journey.

It is a travelling newsroom, an open laboratory and a home for stories that deserve to be heard.

ApeTerra On The Road will travel slowly across Italy, stopping in villages to meet those who protect bees, preserve traditions, study the future or have chosen to stay and create value in their own community.

Three motorhomes, three souls

A small travelling city

The fleet becomes a newsroom, an educational space and a guest house. Each motorhome has a distinct purpose, but together they tell one story.

01

Media Lab

Podcasts, interviews, directing, editing, streaming and daily content. This is where stories become images and memory.

02

ApeTerra Experience

Bee Sound, educational activities, biodiversity and workshops. The educational heart of the journey, open to schools, families and communities.

03

Guest House

Researchers, artists, beekeepers, writers and special guests join the journey and experience each territory alongside the team.

Inside the mobile newsroom

Every encounter will become cinema

Cameras, microphones, monitors, editing and live broadcasts travel with us. Stories gathered on the road will become episodes, podcasts, photographs, diaries and an audiovisual narrative connecting distant communities.

  • Cinematic filming and drone footage
  • Podcasts and long-form interviews
  • Daily content and behind the scenes
  • A living archive for every village

The people

The team that will move the journey forward

People, visions and skills that bring the journey to life.

Salvatore Cubeddu

Project creator, host and editorial lead of the travelling newsroom.

Through SognidalCosmo, he brings a curious and deeply human perspective that turns every encounter into a story worth hearing.

Francesco Apolloni

Director and audiovisual creative lead.

He defines the project’s cinematic language and guides the visual construction of the journey, from filming to the final story.

Alessandro Cavalcanti

Videomaker and filming lead for the tour.

He coordinates and produces the on-location filming, transforming people, landscapes and encounters into audiovisual memory.

Production & coordination

Operations, logistics and support for the travelling team.

Coordinates locations, contacts and on-site requirements, helping make every encounter smooth, welcoming and well organised.

Beekeeper

Bee Sound, bee culture, biodiversity and educational activities across the territory.

She guides the public into the life of the hive, combining outreach, listening, field experience and respect for pollinators.

Extended Team

Videomakers, sound operators, drone pilots, editors, authors and local professionals.

A network of skills that makes every stop possible and expands the project’s narrative, technical and territorial quality.

Travel with us

Every stop will have a new voice

Researchers, artists, beekeepers, musicians, writers, journalists and extraordinary people will be invited aboard. They will not come only for an interview: they will live in the village and become part of its story.

We are not looking for celebrities to display. We are looking for people who can change the way we see a place.

When we arrive

For a few days, everything becomes a story

01Arrival

The team meets the territory and the people who truly live it.

02Listening

Every village reveals its own story.

03The encounter

Apiaries, schools, artisans, memory and new ideas.

04Giving back

A public event and content that continues to live on.

Bee Sound

What if we could listen to the life of a hive?

A gentle, discreet and non-invasive technology transforms the sounds of the hive into knowledge, emotion and education. The hum becomes a story. The story becomes respect.

Fashion, art and biodiversity

When beekeeping becomes contemporary culture

ApeTerra imagines a project where biodiversity protection, identity, craftsmanship and place come together as a contemporary story.

The legacy of the journey

The motorhome leaves. Something remains.

In selected territories, permanent installations will unite beekeeping, art, biodiversity, education and community. Each installation will be unique because it will grow from the place that hosts it.

01

Art hives

Living works that protect bees and become symbols of the territory.

02

Pollinator gardens

Flowers, biodiversity and spaces to explore and understand.

03

Education and community

Schools, families, beekeepers and new local traditions.

The first stop comes to life

Canale Monterano: the first Pre On The Road

ApeTerra meets “Di Ape in Ape”: bees, honey, biodiversity, community, science, art, Minecraft, Bear 001 and a social and audiovisual story rooted in the territory.

The village route

A constellation of territories

The route will connect villages with different landscapes, histories and identities. Tuscia will be one of the first territorial clusters: nearby places expressing different souls of the same project.

Some villages are already part of the story. Others are still waiting to be discovered.

The road is still to be written

We will leave to tell the story of Italy.
We will return with a new way of seeing it.

Support what will remain

The journey will create new ApeTerra installations.

Crowdfunding helps transform encounters, drawings and ideas into artistic hives, Bee Sound, pollinator gardens and educational activities in the villages.
